Randall H. Miller provides pre-debate remarks noting, “Face to face at a table with a moderator to play off of? Obama will thrive in this setting. It gives him a chance to be conversational and charming. This will drive McCain nuts and he won’t be able to conceal his absolute disdain (he honestly thinks he’s being screwed out of the presidency). He’ll come off as an angry, old man. It’s over. Cue the fat lady.”
Randall Miller points out: “Given the rules of engagement for tonight’s debate it’s a wonder we bother watching. …It’s a series of insanely scripted, mini infomercials. The questions and moderator really don’t matter much.”
