Ann Althouse remarks at 8:51 PM Central Time: “He’s all over Obama about free trade. Obama doesn’t understand free trade… and he’s never been south of the border. Obama comes back, seemingly unriled. Ann Althouse posts YouTube video of each candidates’ ad, appraising them separately: “McCain’s ad is way funnier. It’s clever, though it’s not really fair. … Now, Obama’s ad is simple, but a little boring. Is it a good gotcha?”
Ann Althouse argues, “This is, I think, a smart demonstration of leadership. McCain is suspending his campaign and seeking a postponement of the debate that is scheduled for this Friday. Meanwhile, speaking of leadership, where’s our incredible shrinking president, Mr. Bush?”
